Amy Cooper of Realty Central Reviews Goldfish Dayton
Brother and sister smile, looking ready for the poolI don’t know if you have heard about this new swim school in the Centerville area, but I wanted to write a quick blog on my experiences here. My children have been taking lessons there since Goldfish opened in March and have enjoyed every aspect of their experience here! The school itself is so adorable with its murals, tropical themed changing area and $.25 snack/candy bar. My children also love to look at the fish in their aquarium and look at all the cool stuff available in their store for sale. Every week we go for a half hour of swim time taught by their friendly, enthusiastic staff. The pool is warm (around 90 degrees!) and so it is easy and comfortable to get into. Class sizes are small so my children do not get distracted and our fully engaged with their teacher. At the end they are giving ribbons on a skill they accomplished that session. This motivates them to collect different ones and makes them feel proud of their accomplishments at swim school that day.
There has been a time where I needed to change times/days of their lessons and the staff were able to accommodate with no issues. Talk about customer service! They have a nice waiting area to watch your children swim as well as a child’s play area for those children that are waiting for a child that is in a class. The changing area has lots of private area rooms to change and Bumbo seats for the really little littles! The vanity area is one of my daughters favorite areas because she gets to sit on a surfboard and blow dry her hair! They always have balloons for the children and even a little prize or snack to take with them as a reward for doing so well in class.
Goldfish swim school hosts many FREE family swims during the week and weekend for members of the swim school. They occasionally, also offer FREE family swims to the public so they can see how awesome they are! :)We have enjoyed many family swims and had fun playing on all the cool, crazy floaties and toys that they bring out. Right now their calendar of events includes family night outs and weeks of events focusing on their members, water safety and progress reports. I’m excited to see what they are preparing to do for those weeks! They also offer parties for those looking to celebrate an occasion with their pool and facilities. Checkout their Facebook page for other fun things they are planning and contact info to get your kids enrolled. I love that my kids are learning so much, having fun and will be safe for the summer on their knowledge of swimming.
